Bit-Z Crypto-Exchange Terminates Cooperation with Tether

The administration of the popular crypto-exchange, Bit-Z, announced that trading will with Tether tokens will be terminated on their platform. Note that this decision of the exchange was made (although there may not be a direct connection) after it became known about a record USDT issue worth $300 million.

The Bit-Z reported that the platform will stop supporting USDT after April 30th. Until then, all users who have these tokens on their accounts must either exchange them for another cryptocurrency or withdraw them from the site. At the moment, the Bit-Z site is in 10th place in the daily trading volume, which accounts for $190 million. It should be noted that the site does not support any fiat currency: transactions such as replenishment of a trading account or withdrawal of funds are available only by means of cryptocurrency.

Last week, Tether carried out one of the largest single-issue of tokens. Most users believe that the USDT does not have a real security with the corresponding amount of USD. American company Friedman LLP, whose task was to conduct an audit of Tether, didn’t manage to dispel the doubts of users – the partnership with it was stopped at the very beginning of the cooperation.
