In 2019, Russia plans to create a single open registry based on the blockchain platform, which will include data on all bank depositors. This project is being created to regulate the activities of financial organizations. In particular, to prevent situations in which banks are trying to hide information about deposits not to avoid paying compensation to their customers.
The Government of Ukraine will develop a draft law for legalization of the crypto-industry. This law was initiated by Stepan Kubiv, the Head of the Ministry of Economic Development. Due to the legalization of this business sphere, it is planned to generate an inflow of funds to the budget, as well as provide employment to T professionals in the country.
In Russia, the first criminal case was initiated against the ICO organizers. It considers Bananacoin project, which was attracting the investments in the production of bananas on a farm in Laos and the sale thereof in China. During the pre-sale, the project raised more than $3 million. Evgeny Titus filed an application. Previously he purchased more than 1,000 tokens of the project. However, after the purchase he studied the project in detail and found out that most of the data provided by the ICO organizers is false.
