The Uphold company, which provides mobile payment services, reported the integration of XRP tokens into the platform. Thanks to this, application users will be able to use Ripple cryptocurrency directly from the address of the network wallets for payment through the Uphold service. The introduction of the new option will open the possibility for the replenishment of deposits, the withdrawal of digital assets, and their transfer to other users through the functionality of the application.
Robin O’Connell, the head of one of the Uphold departments, noted that this step is “important and key” for his company and offers US citizens a simple mechanism for using XRP tokens in everyday life. “Full support of the Ripple cryptocurrency by our service is the next step to development. Now, there are many wallets with access to digital currencies, but not all of them really allow direct exchange of virtual assets to fiat currencies”, Robin O’Connell said. Thanks to the Uphold functionality, members can directly buy XRP using a simple bank transfer, paying digital tokens from their debit and credit cards.
Recalling Uphold had announced the first plans for Ripple integration into the platform just this past March.
